Repertoire
Mandatory selection of repertoire from periods:
- Composition written between 1900-1945.
- Composition written between 1946-1990.
- Composition written from 1991 until present time.
- Composition written by composer of participant origin
The participant must perform compositions from all three prescribed periods. A composition written by composer of participant origin, must be performed in the 2nd round - Final. The compositions of the three periods can be arranged by the participants of their choice between the two rounds. In categories B and A, however, some periods will double. No composition from 1st Round can be performed again in 2nd Round - Finals. The jury will pay special attention to the performances of new compositions created after March 11th, 2021, for which a special award for best performance will be given. The performance of the repertoire at the live concert (2nd round - Final) must be accompanied by a piano. Only music for voice and piano is allowed.
*If the participant does not have a pianist, he can ask for the help of the organizer, who will, for a fee, provide him with a pianist.
1st Round: |
Participants must upload to YouTube Channel their videos until May 19th, 2023 and send a link to organizer. The Results of the 1st round will be announced until May 29th, 2023 on Aegis carminis FB page and web page. Participants will be informed about jury decision also by e-mail. Those singers who are awarded with a minimum of 90 points and chosen by the international jury will enter the 2nd round – The Finals.
Category A and B
Two contrasted compositions from two different periods in total of;
Category A max 6 min, Category B max 8 min.
Category C and D
Three compositions from two or three different periods, one of them must be written by composer of participant origin in total of max 12 min.
2nd Round - Finals: |
Live participation in the 2nd round - Finals is mandatory, unless the situation does not allow live performance. Participants who will not be able to attend due to covid-19 and the situation in their countries the 2nd round - Finals, will upload the recordings to a private folder and will be able to participate virtually.
Category A and B
Two compositions, one of them must be written by composer of participant origin in total of max 8 min.
Category C and D
Three compositions of two or three different periods, one of them must be by composer of participant origin in total of max 12 min.
