At least to the extent that the saying that Slovenians are a singing nation is true, the same applies to Latvians. The significance of singing in their culture is shown by the Latvian Song and Dance Festival, which is considered the largest choral event in the world and has been part of UNESCO's Masterpieces of Oral and Intangible Heritage since 2008. All this is also reflected at the highest level in their choral creativity and re-creation. We will be introduced to the world of the rich treasury of Latvian choral music by an excellent young conductor, winner of the 2nd international competition for choral conductors Aegis carminis 2021 in Koper.
